UAE visa photo requirements
- Face centred and straight on, eyes open, neutral expression
- Plain white background, no shadows
- No tinted glasses or glare; removing glasses is safest
- Head coverings worn for religious reasons are generally accepted if the face is fully visible
- Recent photo that shows how you look now
Where you upload it
Depending on the visa and emirate, you apply through the ICP channels (website or app), GDRFA Dubai, an airline or a typing centre. The upload screen may show its own limits for file size or format – follow what it says. The same photo rules apply to the Emirates ID photo.
